Jackson Fashion Week makes its debut this Fall with a weeklong celebration of fashion in all its forms, welcoming makers, movers, and style lovers from across Jackson County, Michigan.
From October 19th through 25th, fashion-focused events will pop up throughout the county, leading to a vibrant finale: The Jackson Fashion Show at Art 634 on Saturday, October 25th.

Step into your stride at this hands-on workshop led by professional model, Marlena Mobley, who knows how to command a runway. After walking in New York Fashion week five times and gracing the Las Angeles Runway on four occasions, Marlena is bringing her expertise to the stage right here in Jackson, Michigan. Whether you're prepping for Jackson Fashion Week, building confidence, or just want to move like you own the room—this session is your runway debut.

Calling all muses, makers, and social media influencers - the Model Mixer is not your average networking event. Whether you’re a runway rebel, editorial dreamer, commercial chameleon, or just starting to build your book, this mixer is your gateway to opportunity. Meet the creatives who cast, shoot, style, and direct - fashion designers, filmmakers, photographers, advertisers, and beyond.
Models of all experience levels, creatives looking to cast fresh faces, stylists, directors, producers, and brand builders, this is an event you do not want to miss!

3:30pm: Models will walk across the stage, followed by a mixer that allows everyone to network within a safe environment.

Located at 743 W. Michigan Ave, the Uniting Closet of Jackson is a monthly pop-up offering free gender-affirming clothing, shoes, accessories, and makeup to anyone under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. During Fashion Week, designers of all walks are welcome to take as much clothing as they’d like in exchange for either a cash or clothing donation (2 bag minimum). All donations will go toward: equipment, snacks for visitors, new personal care items, transformative wear, and more!

Before Jackson was known for art and innovation, it was America’s corset capital, home to over sixteen corset companies that shaped fashion and industry from the 1800s onward.
Join us for a decadent brunch where fashion meets legacy. Sip, savor, and learn about the rise of the Bortree Duplex Corset, the powerhouse Jackson Corset Company, and how Cortland and Pearl Streets once stitched the nation’s silhouette.
This event takes place at Soar Cafe, where participants will enjoy brunch off of the menu while learning about the development and empowering stories of the corset and its historic ties to Jackson. Jackson Historian, Judy Gail Krasnow, will begin speaking at 12:30p. Please make sure to arrive early to solidify your seat. Soar Cafe is located at 401 N. Mechanic Street in Jackson.

Join us at Ironbark Brewing Company for a head-turning twist on Turntable Tuesday. From 6:30 to 9:30 PM, the vinyls will be spinning and the brews will be flowing. But at 7:30 PM, it’s time to swap your style.
Bring your finest headwear—fedoras, fascinators, flat caps, bucket hats, beanies, berets, and beyond. Trade stories, trade lids, and maybe walk out with a whole new look. All of your hats should be able to fit into a backpack sized bag or small suitcase.

Make a beanie at Cindy's Hats Crafting Table from 4:30p until 7pm in the Palmer Gallery at Art 634. Learn a very simple technique for turning a favorite t-shirt into a cool cap in less than a half hour. See embellishing techniques. Bring your own t-shirt or any stretchy fabric, or make a hat from the fabric provided. This workshop is free, and hats made using Cindy's fabric will be donated to a food pantry to help keep heads warm this winter, or you can pay $5 and take yours home with you.

Join AWARE, Art 634, and the Michigan Theatre of Jackson for a special Partnership Movie Night screening of ENOUGH on Wednesday, October 22 at 7:00 PM, held in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
This moving film shines a light on the realities of abuse and the importance of awareness, empathy, and action within our community.

SOAR Café & Farms presents its annual Healing Handbag Event, a high-end handbag auction and dinner designed to uplift and support women survivors of trafficking, addiction, and sexual trauma.
Join us for an evening of elegance and empowerment featuring a purse fashion show, raffle, and dinner at Cascades Manor - all to benefit women survivors of trafficking, addiction, and sexual trauma. From designer handbags to curated gift baskets, every item raffled helps fund healing programs and support services through SOAR Café & Farms.
